The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that the plan of arrangement involving Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (Brookfield), to be named Brookfield Corp., and Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. (New Brookfield), became effective at the close on Dec. 9, 2022.

Trading in the Class A limited voting shares of Brookfield Corp. in the when-issued ex distribution terminated at the close on Dec. 9, 2022. At the open on Dec. 12, 2022, the Brookfield Class A shares will begin trading in the regular market on an ex distribution basis, without any entitlement to the Class A limited voting shares of New Brookfield to be distributed pursuant to the arrangement.

The TSX reports that trading in the New Brookfield Class A shares on a when-issued basis terminated and the symbol NBAM was delisted at the close on Dec. 9, 2022. At the open on Dec. 12, 2022, the New Brookfield Class A shares will begin trading on a regular basis under the current name (Brookfield Asset Management Ltd.), a new stock symbol (BAM) and the current Cusip number (No. 113004 10 5).

The TSX notes that the Class A preference shares, Series 8, and the Class A preference shares, Series 9, of Brookfield were delisted at the close on Dec. 9, 2022. At the open on Dec. 12, 2022: (i) the Brookfield Corp. Class A preference shares, Series 51, will begin trading under the symbol BN.PF.K and with Cusip No. 11271J 59 4; and (ii) the Brookfield Corp. Class A preference shares, Series 52, will begin trading under the symbol BN.PF.L and with Cusip No. 11271J 58 6.

Trading for Brookfield Corp. preference shares (not including Series 51 and Series 52)

At the open on Dec. 12, 2022, trading will begin in the preference shares of Brookfield under the new name, Brookfield Corp., and the new stock symbols and Cusip numbers as shown in the attached table.
