STAMFORD, Conn. -- (Business Wire)
Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm, has launched a research study examining providers offering SAP-based solutions for enterprises as many companies migrate to the cloud and adopt AI.
The study results will be published in a series of comprehensive ISG Provider Lens® reports, called SAP Ecosystem, scheduled to be released in May 2026. The report will cover providers of a wide range of SAP-related services and solutions, including SAP S/4HANA system transformation for both midmarket and large accounts, SAP Business AI solutions and application and cloud managed services.
Enterprise buyers will be able to use information from the reports to evaluate their current vendor relationships, potential new engagements and available offerings, while ISG advisors use the information to recommend providers to the firm’s buy-side clients.
In 2025, SAP is placing greater emphasis on helping organizations modernize their operations and accelerate digital transformation. As on-premises SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) approaches its phase-out period, more enterprises are moving to SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based models to enhance agility and performance. Supported by integrated platforms such as SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and AI-driven insights, the SAP ecosystem empowers companies to streamline processes, improve decision-making and carry out sustainable innovation.
“Enterprises are reimagining their operating models as SAP advances its ecosystem toward a more intelligent and connected future,” said Aman Munglani, senior director and principal analyst at ISG. “Service providers guide clients in cloud migration, application management and AI adoption to unlock long-term business value.”
ISG has distributed surveys to more than 140 providers. Working in collaboration with ISG’s global advisors, the research team will produce seven quadrants representing the typical SAP ecosystem services enterprises are buying, based on ISG’s experience working with its clients. The seven quadrants are:
- SAP S/4HANA System Transformation, evaluating SAP-certified providers of SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation for enterprises of all sizes. Providers offer tailored transformation approaches, leveraging RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP programs and cloud-native frameworks, to manage complex and large-scale deployments.
- SAP S/4HANA System Transformation — Large Accounts, assessing providers that help enterprises shift from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA. The providers are assessed on their ability to customize SAP S/4HANA applications and effectively integrate them into enterprises’ existing technology landscapes.
- SAP S/4HANA System Transformation — Midmarket, covering providers delivering agile SAP S/4HANA transformations for small and midmarket clients. The providers help enterprises adopt SAP S/4HANA through industry-specific templates, automation and cloud-based programs, ensuring secure, cost-efficient and scalable digital transformation.
- SAP Application Managed Services, evaluating providers of end-to-end application managed services across ECC, S/4HANA and SAP cloud landscapes. The providers are assessed on their ability to optimize and support SAP applications while effectively handling system incidents through ticketing tools and maintaining proper documentation.
- Managed Cloud Services for SAP ERP, assessing providers that manage enterprises’ workloads in hybrid cloud environments. The providers support enterprises in migrating their ERP systems from on-premises or private to public clouds while demonstrating data management and cloud cost optimization.
- SAP Business AI and Business Technology Platform (BTP) Services, covering providers that specialize in designing, building and integrating SAP Business AI and SAP BTP. The providers are assessed on their ability to effectively deploy GenAI, ML and predictive analytics within SAP applications.
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Partner Services, evaluating providers that implement and manage SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite in the cloud and on premises. These providers specialize in migrating data from legacy systems to SuccessFactors and customizing it to meet their specific needs, thereby making HR operations more integrated and efficient.
Geographically focused reports from the study will cover the global SAP ecosystem and examine products and services available globally and in the U.S., Asia Pacific, Brazil and Germany. ISG analysts Mara Kukla (Brazil), Oliver Nickels (Germany), Maharshi Pandya (Asia Pacific and Global) and Tarun Vaid (U.S. and Global) will serve as authors of the reports.
A list of identified providers and vendors and further details on the study are available in this digital brochure. Companies not listed as SAP Ecosystem providers can contact ISG and ask to be included in the study.
