Asiatel enters, activates alliance with fileAI

2026-08-20 18:16 ET - News Release

Mr. Jasjit Anand reports

ASIATEL LAUNCHES AI AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS AND MARKET ENTRY SERVICES

Asiatel Outsourcing Inc. has taken two strategic initiatives that expand its technology-enabled services.

The company has activated its alliance with fileAI LLC to deliver an enterprise artificial intelligence platform to organizations across the Philippines, enabling businesses to turn unstructured information into validated, actionable data and automate file-intensive workflows. It has also launched managed go-to-market services to help international software-as-a-service companies establish and expand their presence in the Philippines.

Strengthening Canada-Philippines relations

These initiatives come as economic and commercial ties between Canada and the Philippines continue to strengthen. On July 23, 2026, Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anita Anand, met with the Philippines' secretary of foreign affairs, Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, in Manila, where they agreed to launch negotiations for a new action plan under the Canada-Philippines Strategic Partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing free-trade agreements. This meeting follows the July 2, 2026, visit of Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to Canada, where the two countries elevated their relationship to a strategic partnership -- the first visit by a Philippine president in 11 years.

"The strengthening relationship between Canada and the Philippines comes at an important time for Asiatel," said Jasjit Singh (Andy) Anand, chief executive officer of Asiatel. "We are a Philippine-founded company that is now publicly listed on TSX-V, with approximately 15 per cent of our current client programs already established in the Canadian market. As trade, investment and economic co-operation between our two countries continue to grow, we believe this provides an important context for Asiatel's existing and future expansion activities in the Canadian market."

Activation of fileAI alliance

The activation of Asiatel's strategic alliance with fileAI marks the commercial launch of its enterprise AI and intelligent workflow automation services in the Philippines, built on fileAI's AI-native platform. Existing and new clients can now deploy fileAI, supported by Asiatel, to automate file-intensive workflows while retaining control and traceability back to the source information.

"In a lending workflow, for example, fileAI can classify an application pack, extract and validate the required information, flag missing or inconsistent items, and route complete cases and exceptions into the existing approval process," said Mr. Anand. "Asiatel will support clients with workflow assessment, implementation and integration, enabling these capabilities to be incorporated into existing processes while maintaining traceability to the underlying source information."

The collaboration brings together fileAI's platform and Asiatel's implementation and managed service capabilities to help organizations modernize workflows such as lending applications, claims intake, customer on-boarding and finance operations. Asiatel will provide workflow assessments, solution design, implementation, system integration and continuing support to help clients move these workflows into production.

"Our alliance with fileAI enables us to support organizations throughout their digital transformation journeys," added Shafi Aboobaker, chairman of Asiatel.

"Our ambition is to be the backbone that enterprise AI runs on, and infrastructure is only proven once it is running inside real operations," said Christian Schneider, co-founder and chief executive officer of fileAI. "Asiatel understands how enterprise work actually gets done and has the teams to put these workflows into production and keep them there. Together, we can bring that standard of automation to organizations in the Philippines."

Launch of managed go-to-market services

Asiatel has also launched managed GTM services designed to help international software-as-a-service companies establish and expand their commercial presence across Southeast Asia.

Initially focused on Canadian growth-stage and mid-market software companies, the service integrates local market expertise, business development, demand generation, sales enablement and commercial execution. This model allows clients to enter the region without immediately establishing dedicated in-country operations.

The service complements Asiatel's broader outsourcing platform, providing clients with a single partner for market entry, commercial development and continuing operational support.

"Entering a new market requires more than a sales presence," Mr. Anand said. "Our managed GTM services enable Canadian companies to expand into Southeast Asia while leveraging Asiatel's established delivery platform."
