Mr. Ben Aissa reports
TIGER FINANCIAL UNVEILS AI-NATIVE SMART POS PLATFORM TO SUPPORT SOUTHEAST ASIA EXPANSION
Tiger Financial Services Inc. has live deployed its next-generation, artificial-intelligence-native merchant payment platform, a new technology initiative supporting its ambition to build a leading small- and medium-sized enterprise financial service business across Southeast Asia.
Developed and tested using AI-assisted software engineering platforms, including Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Cursor, the Tiger platform integrates smart Android point-of-sale technology, high-speed, two-way Internet of Things communications, and secure payment processing designed to meet applicable Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard requirements. The platform also incorporates enhanced payment workflows to support efficient and reliable transaction processing.
The platform is already serving merchants and processing customer transactions. Its launch reflects the company's strategy to compete through technology investment, operating discipline, and a differentiated offering for merchants and bank partners.
Management reports that the new platform is faster and has expanded capabilities to service a higher number of merchants and employees across multiple currencies and countries. The new platform represents a continued commitment of engineering effort, management attention and technology investment. Through its bank partnership model, Tiger intends to use its payment capabilities to deepen SME relationships and expand its offering across business banking and other financial services.
"We intend to earn our competitive advantage by investing in innovation, product development, technology and execution," said Ben Aissa, founder and chief executive officer of Tiger Financial. "Having built multiple fintech businesses across different markets, we are continuously improving our product and the customer experience, challenging established ways of doing business and giving customers a compelling reason to choose our product. This new platform gives our sales and distribution teams a stronger offering while simplifying day-to-day work for our support and operations teams," added Mr. Aissa. "Our focus is on winning merchant relationships, supporting our bank partners and building a business that can expand across Southeast Asia."
Technology investment with a commercial purpose
Tiger's objective is to win business, support larger merchant networks and pursue expansion across Southeast Asian markets. The new platform advances several capabilities central to that strategy:
-
Smart Android POS technology: a modern payment platform supporting merchant checkout and the delivery of additional services;
-
High-speed two-way IoT communication: connected devices allow Tiger's teams to monitor operations, troubleshoot problems and deliver software updates remotely;
-
Security and encrypted communications: encrypted payment communications within the relevant operating environment covered by the PCI DSS security standards;
-
Improved payment workflows: management reports faster payment processing, greater reliability and fewer service interruptions in live operations;
-
More efficient merchant support: management reports faster on-boarding, fewer on-site support visits and lower service costs, strengthening the foundation for expansion.
