Toronto, Ontario – TheNewswire - September 25, 2026 – Big Tree Carbon Inc. (the “ Company ” or “ Big Tree ”) (TSXV:BIGT) is pleased to advise shareholders and the market that Ms. Renata Smoke has joined the Company as our lead consultant geologist.

Ms. Smoke possesses a MSc.(Geology) and BSc.(Hon)(Geology), both from the University of Western Ontario, and has led a variety of exploration and drilling programs in Ontario, Arizona, Montana, Utah, and the Dominican Republic in her 14 years of post-graduate experience.

Ms. Smoke is a member of the Lac Seul First Nation with family ties to the Alderville First Nation, and is based in Hamilton ON. In addition to her geological technical expertise and field experience, she brings an extensive background in Indigenous governance, environmental policy, risk assessment, consultation, and negotiation. She has worked with communities and resource development companies to discover mutually beneficial synergies, regularly preparing a variety of tools to support collaboration, from negotiation and liaison strategy to achieve alignment between Indigenous nations and resource development proponents to complete community engagement strategies.

Ms. Smoke has just completed several days in the field at the Richardson Lake property, gaining a first-hand understanding of the lay of the land while conducting a property reconnaissance and grass-roots prospecting. Ms. Smoke’s immediate and continuing role with the Company is to complete an in-depth data compilation of Company properties, focusing on the Richardson Lake property, with an eye towards the design and completion of an UAV-supported magnetometry survey and ultimately toward design of a diamond drilling program anticipated for the 2027 calendar year.
