CANADIAN URANIUM APPOINTS MICHAEL WILLIAMS AS EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN
Canadian Uranium Corp.'s board of director, Michael Williams, has accepted the role as chairman of the board of directors, effective immediately.
Mr. Williams brings over 30 years of senior leadership experience within the junior mining sector, with a proven record of building and advancing successful resource companies. He is also a co-founder and executive chairman of Vortex Metals.
Throughout his career, Mr. Williams has played a key role in the formation, financing and growth of multiple companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. In addition to his leadership position at Vortex Metals, he is the founder and executive chairman of Aftermath Silver Ltd., a publicly traded company with a market capitalization exceeding $250-million. He has also served as executive chairman for a number of other public resource companies, including Underworld Resources Ltd., which was acquired by Kinross Gold Corp. in 2010 for approximately $138-million.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Williams has established a broad international network across the banking and investment communities, encompassing both institutional and retail investors. These relationships have enabled him to successfully secure substantial funding for exploration and development projects in multiple jurisdictions around the world.
