Mr. Eric Eyerman reports
CALIFORNIA NANOTECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES PRODUCTION ORDERS FROM TEXAS-BASED AEROSPACE COMPANY FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL R&D
California Nanotechnologies Corp. has received several purchase orders totalling $147,000 (U.S.) from a Texas-based aerospace company, marking the successful transition of a research and development (R&D) program into commercial production. The orders cover the manufacturing of specialized components used in commercial satellite systems.
The production orders follow approximately $170,000 (U.S.) in R&D manufacturing service orders received from the customer during calendar 2026. Of the new $147,000 (U.S.) in orders, $114,750 (U.S.) represents approximately three months of production, equivalent to an annualized production rate of approximately $459,000 (U.S.) at current pricing and volumes.
"We have been working with this aerospace client for approximately a year on R&D and have successfully transitioned into reoccurring production orders," said Eric Eyerman, chief executive officer. "This is a great use case of our capabilities as we will be utilizing many of our core technologies including powder milling and spark plasma sintering (SPS), along with post processing. It is a unique customer application and showcases our ability to deliver next-generation products."
Based on the customer's current forecast, production volumes could approximately double by the end of calendar 2027. This represents a potential annualized production rate of approximately $918,000 (U.S.) at current pricing, subject to customer demand and additional purchase orders.
