Cariboo Rose progresses on Cowtrail, Lightning Strike

2026-08-26 17:47 ET - News Release

Mr. Bill Morton reports

CARIBOO ROSE PROVIDES EXPLORATION UPDATES ON COWTRAIL AND LIGHTNING STRIKE PROJECTS

Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd.'s work on core cutting and sampling at Cowtrail are complete and samples have been shipped for analysis. Cariboo Rose has also completed four diamond drill holes at Lightning Strike, where core cutting and sampling are under way.

Cowtrail copper-gold project

The Cowtrail porphyry copper-gold project is located 60 kilometres northeast of Williams Lake, B.C. A total of 1,293 metres of drill core from four holes was processed, with sample intervals typically three metres in length. The samples were shipped to MSALabs in Langley, B.C. Initial results are expected within four to six weeks of shipment.

Cowtrail is a 4,717-hectare (11,650-acre) copper-gold project contiguous with Vizsla Copper Corp.'s (TSX-V: VCU) Woodjam and Redgold copper-gold porphyry projects. It is located 20 kilometres southeast of the operating Mount Polley copper-gold mine, owned by Imperial Metals Corp., and shares many geological attributes with that deposit. BRS may earn a 60-per-cent interest in Cowtrail from Cariboo Rose by completing $2-million in exploration expenditures, making cash payments totalling $200,000 and issuing shares with an aggregate value of $200,000 by Dec. 19, 2028.

Lightning strike gold-silver project

Cariboo Rose has completed four diamond drill holes at its 100-per-cent-owned Lightning Strike gold-silver project, located 60 kilometres northeast of the community of 100 Mile House, B.C. Core cutting and sampling are under way, and the first sample shipments to MSALabs in Langley are expected imminently. Initial results are expected within four to six weeks of shipment.

In 2025, two diamond drill holes were completed at Lightning Strike. Hole LSD25-01 intersected 44.4 metres grading 0.77 gram per tonne gold and 37.1 g/t silver, including 11.9 metres grading 1.58 g/t gold and 109.7 g/t silver. True widths are unknown.

Historical work at Lightning Strike by Homestake Mining in 1984 and later by Skygold Resources Ltd. (now Spanish Mountain Gold Corp.) from 2008 to 2012 discovered an area of gold and silver mineralization in the western part of the current claim block. Trenching in this area uncovered quartz-carbonate boulders with gold values up to 25.1 g/t and silver values up to 216.8 g/t.
