CAPSTONE COPPER ANNOUNCES LABOUR AGREEMENTS AT MANTOS BLANCOS OPERATION
Capstone Copper Corp. has ratified new three-year collective bargaining agreements with both unions at the Mantos Blancos mine in Chile within the legal time frame established.
Following successful negotiation of agreements that support its employees and the long-term sustainability of the operation, Mantos Blancos will continue to focus on safe and responsible mining, which brings great benefits to the work force and surrounding communities. Today, Mantos Blancos employs approximately 1,106 employees, including 92 per cent from the local communities in the Antofagasta region of Chile. The total work force at Mantos Blancos is approximately 2,928 individuals, including approximately 1,822 contractors.
