Dundee talks drill results at option project Shovelnose

2026-07-28 11:35 ET - News Release

Mr. Jonathan Goodman reports

DUNDEE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES FURTHER RESULTS OF INFILL DRILLING AT WESTHAVEN S SHOVELNOSE GOLD AND SILVER PROJECT, SOUTHERN BRITISH COLUMBIA

Dundee Corp. has continued progress on Westhaven Gold Corp.'s 2026 exploration program at the Shovelnose gold and silver project with the fourth batch of assay results from the continuing 35,000-metre resource infill drilling program, presently supported by four drill rigs.

Jonathan Goodman, president and chief executive officer, commented:

"These results continue to build our confidence in the South zone and are particularly encouraging because they consistently demonstrate the grade thickness characteristics we have seen throughout the program. While the high-grade intercepts are impressive in their own right, what excites us most is the growing body of drilling data which reinforces our confidence as we advance toward a resource estimate and prefeasibility study."

South zone mineral resource infill drilling

Assay results from the continuing 35,000 m resource infill/ drilling program at the South zone deposit continue to show excellent continuity of mineralization in each of vein zones 1, 2 and 3. Results have been received from an additional 14 infill drill holes and are reported in Table 1. The resource drilling program has been designed to infill the deposit at nominal 25 m centres with results to be included in an updated mineral resource estimate to support a prefeasibility study (PFS) targeting completion in H2 2027. To date, 73 drill holes (23,184 m) have been completed representing approximately two-thirds of the planned program metreage.

Selected assay highlights include:

  • SNR26-90: 11.65 metres grading 5.20 grams per tonne Au (gold) and 16 g/t Ag (silver) from 79.85 m down hole;
  • SNR26-97: 13.50 m grading 2.98 g/t Au and 10 g/t Ag from 132.00 m down hole;
  • SNR26-99: 16.80 m grading 4.63 g/t Au and 20 g/t Ag from 133.25 m down hole.
    • 27.51 m grading 14.47 g/t Au and 52 g/t Ag from 274.27 m down hole, including:
    • 2.07 m grading 107.5 g/t Au and 334 g/t Ag from 283.12 m.
  • SNR26-102: 5.20 m grading 9.19 g/t Au and 36 g/t Ag from 56.00 m down hole;
  • SNR26-113: 0.52 m grading 200 g/t Au and 141 g/t Ag from 178.86 m down hole;
  • SNR26-114: 30.76 m grading 3.31 g/t Au and 21 g/t Ag from 236.24 m down hole.

Assay intervals noted above represent down hole intersections, not true widths. True widths can be estimated at approximately 70 to 80 per cent of the reported intervals. All assay results related to the 14 holes are presented in Table 1, including drill hole locations and orientations, located at the end of this release. For previously reported assay results from the South zone mineral resource drilling program, please refer to the corporation's press releases dated May 7, 2026, May 26, 2026, and July 7, 2026.

On Feb. 23, 2026, the corporation completed a strategic earn-in agreement with Westhaven, whereby Dundee may earn up to a 60-per-cent interest in Westhaven's four Spences Bridge gold belt properties through up to $85-million in staged project expenditures. Under the first phase, Dundee has committed a minimum of $30-million, inclusive of a fully financed 50,000-metre drill program at Shovelnose, which is financing the activities outlined in this news release and is expected to continue through the remainder of 2026.

Sampling, laboratory analyses and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC)

Most core samples consist of halved drill core cut by manual sawing using industry standard core saws. In rare cases, and where required by physical core conditions, manual splitting may be used. Half of the core is retained in the original core box for reference samples and any required future work, including QA/QC. Core samples, controlled by a unique bar-coded reference number, are delivered to ALS's Kamloops facility and prepared using the PREP-31 package. Each core sample is crushed to better than 70 per cent passing a two-millimetre (Tyler nine mesh, U.S. Std. No. 10) screen. A split of 250 g is taken and pulverized to better than 85 per cent passing a 75-micrometre (Tyler 200 mesh, U.S. Std. No. 200) screen.

Further analytical and assay procedures are conducted in ALS's North Vancouver facility. A 0.75 g subsample of the pulverized split is subjected to four-acid digestion and analyzed via ICP-MS (method code ME-MS61m (plus mercury (Hg))) which reports a suite of 49 elements.

All samples are also analyzed for gold by fire assay with an AES finish, method code Au-ICP21 (30 g sample size) or Au-ICP22 (50 g sample size). Samples returning gold values over 10 ppm (parts per million) are subjected to overlimit check assays using fire assay and a gravimetric finish (method code Au-GRA21 and a 30 g sample size, or Au-GRAV22 and a 50 g sample size). The switch to 50 g aliquots applies to 2026 resource infill drill holes starting at, and including, SNR26-98. Other overlimit elements may also be subjected to ore grade analyses which vary depending on the element of interest.

ALS's facilities are accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard for gold assays, and all analytical methods include quality control materials at set frequencies with established data acceptance criteria.

QA/QC incorporates the laboratory's internal quality assurance controls as well as Westhaven's field controls, including the insertion of quarter core duplicates, certified reference materials and blanks, each at a rate of roughly one per 20 to 25 core samples.

Additional blanks are inserted following samples with visible gold or significant concentrations of ginguro (fine grained bands of dark gray to black sulphides).

QA/QC data are evaluated on receipt for failures, and appropriate action is taken if results for duplicates, standards and blanks fall outside allowed tolerances.

Westhaven's continuing QA/QC programs are consistent with industry best practices and include auditing of all exploration data. Any significant changes will be reported when available.
