Desert Mountain royalties to extend to U.K. projects

2026-10-07 19:56 ET - News Release

Mr. Robert Rohlfing reports

DESERT MOUNTAIN ENERGY ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC AGREEMENT WITH HETHOS LTD. AND PROVIDES A CORPORATE UPDATE

Desert Mountain Energy Corp. has signed an agreement with Hethos Ltd., which serves as the exclusive record of the parties' agreements and maintains and enhances prior licensing arrangements.

Under the agreement, Desert Mountain and Desert Energy U.K. Ltd.'s royalty position will extend to projects throughout the United Kingdom and other projects within Europe. Desert Mountain has also agreed to share proprietary information relating to its U.S. holdings with respect to both natural and stimulated hydrogen prospects.

Desert Mountain and Desert Energy U.K. retain the right to participate directly in applicable projects. Where Desert Mountain elects not to participate directly, the company will receive a 5-per-cent royalty, in addition to applicable licensing fees for the use of its proprietary helium extraction plant design. The company will take the lead position on projects currently being developed.

Desert Energy U.K. appointments

The company is also pleased to announce that Michael Hart, former deputy chief executive officer and head of business development at Amundi, has joined the board of Desert Energy U.K. During his tenure at Amundi, Mr. Hart led the development of alpha-driven solutions, identifying tailored and pro-active strategies designed to address specific client requirements.

In addition, Pierre Levin, who holds a BS in mining and geology from Mines Paris, an MS in natural resource technologies, and credentials from HEC, has agreed to act as an outside technical adviser on stimulated and natural hydrogen production projects in France, the United Kingdom and the United States.

"We are excited to welcome Michael to the Desert Energy U.K. Ltd. team and look forward to the successful completion of ongoing contractual discussions," said Robert Rohlfing, chief executive officer of Desert Mountain Energy.

Arizona lease update

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has completed a multiyear review and returned to good standing certain leases that had previously been placed in suspense due to external concerns. These leases include acreage directly offsetting the north side of the Pinta Dome helium field in Arizona.

The company is currently reviewing opportunities to work with another company on the potential development of these properties.

Carbon credit initiatives

DME Carbon Cap LLC is completing filings related to its carbon credit initiatives, including filings with Verra and the Climate Action Reserve.

Proprietary extraction data

The company continues discussions regarding opportunities to advance and monetize its proprietary extraction data generated through plant operations in both nitrogen-rich and methane-rich environments. The data form part of Desert Mountain's broader strategy to leverage the technical knowledge and intellectual property developed through the operation of its proprietary extraction technology.
