The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Sept. 22, edition that despite inflation and interest rate hikes, analysts at National Bank Financial view metal prices positively, citing strong central bank buying, demand from China and India, a weakening greenback due to high debt levels, and geopolitical uncertainty. The Globe's David Leeder writes that National Bank analysts upgraded their price forecasts for all metals and foreign exchange rates. The analysts updated their long-term prices to reflect ongoing inflationary pressures and anticipated cost increases as mining companies optimize mine planning in a high commodity price environment. National analyst Shane Nagle has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Elemental Royalty. He gave his share target a $1.50 boost to $35. Analysts on average target the shares at $32.63. Mr. Nagle says in a note: "Elemental maintains a strong near-term growth outlook and recent acquisitions of EMX/Vizla add additional scale. With access to low-cost forms of capital from their largest shareholder (Tether), we continue to see an opportunity to further diversify the portfolio through future asset acquisitions and/or continued consolidation of the junior royalty space."
