The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Sept. 1, edition that Canaccord Genuity analyst Dalton Baretto commenced coverage of Vancouver-based Oceanic Iron Ore, which owns 100 per cent of the Ungava Bay property in Northern Quebec at the northern end of the Labrador iron ore trough, with a "speculative buy" recommendation and $1.50 share target. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $1.85. Mr. Baretto says in a note, "We view Oceanic as a compelling investment option for investors looking for early exposure to an iron ore project with an exceptional resource endowment on tidewater in a proven and safe jurisdiction, with optionality around scale and product quality." The Globe reported on June 11 that National Bank Financial analyst Shane Nagle started coverage on Oceanic Iron Ore with "outperform" rating. The shares were then going for 90 cents.
