Mr. Mitchell Smith reports
GLOBAL ENERGY METALS HIGHLIGHTS IDENTIFICATION OF EIGHT URANIUM TARGETS AT FONTAINE LAKE PROJECT IN SASKATCHEWAN
Global Energy Metals Corp. has highlighted the identification of eight high-priority uranium exploration targets at the Fontaine Lake project in Northern Saskatchewan, as announced by Terra Balcanica Resources Corp. (Canadian Securities Exchange: TERA) on
Nov. 2, 2026.
The results follow the completion of an airborne geophysical survey by Terra North Resources Corp. and represent continued exploration progress at Fontaine Lake, one of four Saskatchewan uranium properties over which Global Energy Metals retains a 0.5-per-cent net smelter return (NSR) royalty.
The latest findings follow the recent identification of multiple uranium targets at Charlot-Neely Lake,
announced on Oct. 28, 2026, further demonstrating the exploration potential across Terra North's Saskatchewan uranium portfolio.
Exploration highlights
-
Eight high-priority uranium targets identified: The completed airborne survey has outlined eight significant uranium anomalies across the Fontaine Lake property.
-
Encouraging historical results:
Previous surface sampling has returned uranium grades of up to 1.44 per cent U3O8 (triuranium octoxide), supporting the property's exploration potential.
-
Favourable geological setting:
Several targets are associated with the Grease River shear zone, a prominent regional geological structure considered prospective for uranium mineralization.
-
Additional critical minerals potential:
Survey results have also identified areas of elevated thorium and rare-earth element signatures, highlighting broader exploration opportunities.
-
Continued royalty exposure:
Global Energy Metals retains a 0.5-per-cent NSR (net smelter returns) royalty across approximately 594 square kilometres of Saskatchewan uranium properties, providing exposure to potential discoveries and future development without directly funding exploration.
Mitchell Smith, president and chief executive officer of Global Energy Metals, commented:
"The identification of eight uranium targets at Fontaine Lake, following the recent encouraging results at Charlot-Neely Lake, further highlights the exploration potential of our Saskatchewan uranium royalty portfolio.
"With Terra North continuing to advance exploration and identify new targets across multiple properties, Global Energy Metals retains exposure to potential discoveries without incurring direct exploration expenditures. This aligns with our broader strategy of maintaining strategic royalty interests that provide additional opportunities for long-term shareholder value creation."
Advancing the Fontaine Lake uranium project
Fontaine Lake is located approximately 55 kilometres north-northeast of Stony Rapids, Sask., within a region recognized for its uranium exploration potential.
The recently completed airborne survey covered approximately 60 square km and identified eight high-confidence uranium target zones, several of which align with the Grease River shear zone.
The results build on historical exploration, including surface samples reporting uranium grades of up to 1.44 per cent U3O8, and provide additional priority areas for follow-up investigation.
Terra North intends to evaluate these findings alongside previous fieldwork to further define exploration priorities and assess the property's uranium and associated critical minerals potential.
The identified anomalies remain exploration targets and require additional investigation to determine their significance.
Global Energy Metals' uranium royalty portfolio
Global Energy Metals holds a 0.5-per-cent NSR royalty across approximately 594 sqaure km of uranium-prospective properties in Saskatchewan, including Charlot-Neely Lake, Fontaine Lake, Snowbird and South Pendleton.
The recent exploration results at both Fontaine Lake and Charlot-Neely Lake highlight continued progress across the portfolio and the potential for additional discoveries as exploration advances.
The royalty portfolio provides Global Energy Metals with long-term exposure to uranium exploration and potential development while allowing the company to concentrate its resources on its core United States copper exploration assets and strategic critical minerals acquisition initiatives.
With uranium continuing to play an important role in nuclear energy and energy security, Global Energy Metals believes these royalty interests represent a valuable complement to its broader North American critical minerals strategy.
