GERMANIUM MINING CORP. COMPLETES GROUND ELECTROMAGNETIC SURVEY AND BEGINS MAGNETIC AIRBORNE SURVEY AT ITS 100% OWNED LAC DU KM 35 GERMANIUM PROPERTY IN QUEBEC

Germanium Mining Corp. has completed a time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) survey and is awaiting, in the next few days, the final report outlining potential anomalies in the 1,400-metre-by-1,400-metre-area, encompassing the cluster of historical input anomalies and the Laganiere showing. Germanium Mining aims at confirming and outlining existing and new conductors that may indicate the presence of potential germanium-silver and zinc mineralization.

In addition, an airborne magnetic survey covering the whole property has commenced and the company expects final results by mid-July, 2026. Potential magnetic anomalies will soon be verified in the coming outcrop mapping and sampling program.

Mario Pezzente, chief executive officer, commented: "We have strategically expanded our 100-per-cent-owned Lac du Km 35 germanium property ahead of the active 2026 exploration season to allow for potential additional discoveries contiguous to the north of the Laganiere showing that hosts the highest-grade germanium sample in the province of Quebec at 186 parts per million. We are excited to receive shortly TDEM survey results with a goal of outlining new conductors in the vicinity of the Laganiere germanium showing on this highly prospective critical metal project. Germanium Mining Corp. is focused on unlocking strategic resources in stable jurisdictions to potentially contribute to a more secure and resilient North American supply chain."

Exploration program

These surveys aim to identify possible additional shear zones and electromagnetic anomalies for the coming mapping and sampling program, scheduled to begin in mid-July, 2026. The immediate area of the Laganiere showing will be further explored and sampled, and assayed allowing Germanium Mining to deliver diamond drill targets that could be tested early in 2027.

The first phase of diamond drilling will be directed to reach the discovery-hole stage. The campaign is planned to consist of six to 10 holes for a total of approximately 2,500 metres that is planned to be drilled early in 2027.

The exact drilling length will be dictated by the depth of the electromagnetic anomalies that will be accurately outlined by the new survey and backed up by outcrop mapping and sampling. The outcrop mapping will provide valuable insights into what direction and dip that germanium mineralization may extend.

Current sample results returned approximately 0.02 per cent (186 parts per million) Germanium at the Laganiere showing, currently the highest-grade germanium sample in the province of Quebec to date.

Lac du Km 35 property

The 100-per-cent-owned Lac du Km 35 germanium property is approximately 40 kilometres east of the mining town of Chibougamau in the Nord-du-Quebec region of Quebec and offers excellent access through Highway 167 and a main logging road that intersects the property.

The property comprises the prominent Faribault shear zone (FSZ), oriented east-southeast and located toward the eastern part of the property. The FSZ dips to the south-southwest and ends to the Grenville front, which extends southwest-northeast for several hundreds of kilometres. The FSZ is a key structural feature that may connect with other permeable zones at depth, acting as a preferential conduit for hydrothermal fluids.

Discovered by government geologists in 1998 and never followed up, the Laganiere germanium showing consists of a peridotite outcrop within the Laganiere gneissic complex, which comprises amphibolites and hornblende and biotite gneisses. The Laganiere showing returned a value of 0.02 per cent (186 parts per million) germanium and is currently the highest germanium value ever reported from an outcrop in the province of Quebec.

The Laganiere germanium showing lies beside the main lumber road and immediately adjacent to the south to a cluster of electromagnetic anomalies of roughly 400 metres by 400 metres in size that were never tested. The Laganiere germanium showing is also 450 metres northeast of the FSZ, 800 metres from the southern margin of the Duberger felsic pluton and approximately two kilometres to the west of the Grenville front. The area between the FSZ and the Laganiere germanium showing, including the never-tested cluster of electromagnetic anomalies, will be the main focus of Germanium Mining.

About germanium

Since Dec. 3, 2024, China, the largest producer of refined germanium, has banned germanium exports to the United States. Germanium is not an openly traded commodity and recent spot prices have germanium over $5,000 (U.S.) per kilogram.
