The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Sept. 22, edition that despite inflation and interest rate hikes, analysts at National Bank Financial view metal prices positively, citing strong central bank buying, demand from China and India, a weakening greenback due to high debt levels, and geopolitical uncertainty. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that National Bank analysts upgraded their price forecasts for all metals and foreign exchange rates. The analysts updated their long-term prices to reflect ongoing inflationary pressures and anticipated cost increases as mining companies optimize mine planning in a high commodity price environment. National analyst Alex Terentiew has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Highlander Silver. He continues to target the shares at $14 Analysts on average target the shares at $12.38. Mr. Terentiew says in a note, "Highlander Silver remains one of the most attractively priced development-stage investments in the silver sector, supported by Corani's permitted status and exploration upside, San Luis's high grades, and added upside from Mercedes, which we expect will ultimately be sold."
