Intellistake target NanoAi begins testing threat 002

2026-10-22 18:55 ET - News Release

Mr. Jason Dussault reports

INTELLISTAKE CELEBRATES NANOAI'S 2,000-PLUS SUCCESSFUL STANDOFF DETECTION TESTS AS TESTING NOW PROGRESSES TO A SECOND EXPLOSIVE THREAT

NanoAi Technologies, the subject of Intellistake Technologies Corp.'s previously announced proposed acquisition, has reached 2,000-plus successful standoff detection tests since testing began on Oct. 8, 2026, and has now also begun laboratory testing against targeted explosive threat 002 (threat 002) at its Dallas-Richardson op centre.

A second explosive

Threat 002 is not threat 001 in a new test. It is a second, distinct explosive, to be detected without physical contact. The sensor that registered targeted explosive threat 001 (threat 001) at a 10-foot standoff in 0.80 second now faces a threat it has not seen before, under the same conditions.

More than 2,000 successful standoff detection tests against threat 001 gave NanoAi's team the confidence in the sensing technology to advance to threat 002 earlier than planned in its testing road map.

That distinction is the point of the program. A detection against one explosive shows what the sensor did on the day. A detection against a second, different explosive begins to show what the platform is. Threat 001 remains under test alongside threat 002 and results from both will be reported as they are reached.

The first detection can be viewed on YouTube.

Why standoff is the edge

In many field settings, the only way to confirm a threat has been to approach it. Widely used field screening methods, including swab-based screening and ion mobility spectrometry, require physical contact or close proximity to the object being tested. NanoAi's platform is designed to perform standoff detection, detecting threats without physical contact and removing the requirement for an operator to approach a suspected threat. Sensors give platforms eyes and ears, but not a nose. NanoAi's proprietary sensor is built to fill that gap, detecting hidden threats in real time, at standoff.

Defence first

Defence is NanoAi's primary vertical, with further applications in law enforcement, border security and critical infrastructure. The sensor is designed for deployment on wearable, helmet-mounted, drone, robotic, vehicle and fixed platforms, and the platform is designed to address multiple threat types, with explosives first. NanoAi is a licensed development collaborator within Gentex Corporation's Ops-Core Railink ecosystem and has taken physical possession of Gentex's full Railink system for hands-on development work.

Over the coming months, NanoAi will be working directly alongside Gentex's engineering team to integrate its sensing technology into the Railink platform. NanoAi's technology is in active development and has not yet been commercially deployed.

Jason Dussault, chief executive officer of Intellistake, commented:

"Advancing to a second explosive threat so soon after the first on-camera detection reflects the pace at which NanoAi's team is developing its standoff detection technology. We believe the ability to identify multiple threats from a single sensor, without physical contact, addresses an urgent need across defence, law enforcement, border security and critical infrastructure. Our mission with NanoAi is to help protect the people who are sent toward those threats and each test brings that capability closer to the field."

Craig Micklich, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of NanoAi Technologies, commented:

"The first test answered one question: Can this sensor pick up an explosive from standoff with nobody touching it? It did, in under a second. We planned to spend longer on threat 001 before moving on. Two thousand-plus successful tests told us the sensor was ready, so we moved to threat 002 ahead of our own road map. The second question is harder and more useful. Does it still do that when we change what is in front of it? Threat 002 is a different explosive. If the sensor reads it the same way, we have something that reads threats, not just one threat. That is what I want in an operator's hands and it is why we are not waiting around between tests."

Transaction status

The proposed acquisition of NanoAi was announced on Aug. 4, 2026. Upon completion, NanoAi would become a wholly owned subsidiary of Intellistake while continuing to hold its existing licence and development relationship with Gentex. Completion remains subject to the conditions described in the company's Aug. 4, 2026, news release, and there can be no assurance that the transaction will be completed on the terms currently contemplated or at all.

About NanoAi Technologies

NanoAi Technologies is a defence technology company developing a proprietary standoff sensing platform capable of detecting explosives, ammunition and narcotics across wearable, drone, robotic, vehicle and fixed-mount deployments. Combined with artificial intelligence, swarming capabilities and real-time geolocation, each sensor delivers results simultaneously to operators in the field and the task force.

About Intellistake Technologies Corp.

Intellistake is an artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and technology company developing AI agents, enterprise software and data infrastructure designed to turn real-world information into actionable intelligence. The proposed acquisition of NanoAi is intended to expand the company's technology platform into AI-enabled defence, advanced sensing, autonomous systems and connected soldier technology.
