Greg Binions, a shareholder of inactive TSX Venture Exchange listing Lovitt Resources Inc., claims that the company is evading a case he is pursuing in the Supreme Court of British Columbia. The company's president, Langley resident Lorne Brown, has acknowledged the case in e-mails, but has failed to respond to any efforts to communicate about the matter, Mr. Binions says. Efforts to physically serve court documents have failed, as addresses associated with Lovitt and Mr. Brown are vacant lots, according to Mr. Binions.
The accusations from Mr. Binions come as part of a court case he filed on Oct. 25, 2024, in which he claims that Lovitt is concealing material facts about its financial situation. He says that the company made "numerous representations" to him and others over a 20-year period, in which it claimed to be developing a gold mine in Washington State. The company repeatedly said that it would be drilling "imminently," but made little progress, according to Mr. Binions. As he sees things, Lovitt's board has been conducting the company's affairs in an oppressive manner, and he has been seeking a court order directing the company to produce financial statements, among other things.
