LUX METALS APPOINTS SIMON T. HEBERT AS SENIOR GEOLOGICAL ADVISOR

Lux Metals Corp. has appointed Simon T. Hebert, a professional geologist registered in Quebec, as senior geological adviser to the company, effective Aug. 10, 2026. Mr. Hebert will report to Kim-Quyen Nguyen, president and chief executive officer, and will advise on geological interpretation, target generation and drill planning.

The appointment adds senior in-province technical capacity as Lux is commencing its planned 4,500-metre diamond drill program at La Grande, which is designed to test the down-plunge and along-strike extensions of the Zone 32 gold system, infill portions of the known system, and evaluate extensional targets along the shear corridor and the broader tonalite complex.

Mr. Hebert brings has spent more than 15 years exploring and working in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay territory, Nunavik, and the Northwest Territories, including senior technical roles with Virginia Mines Inc. and Osisko Mining Inc. across a range of metallogenic projects, his appointment as mining director of the Societe de developpement de la Baie-James in 2019, his subsequent role as general manager of NQ Mining investment, and his current position as vice-president, development, at Brunswick Exploration. He has led exploration programs from grassroots target generation through to advanced drill planning and project development, and brings deep regional relationships across the James Bay mining sector. Mr. Hebert is president of the board of directors of the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association. He is a registered PGeo as a member of the Ordre des Geologues du Quebec since 2012 and holds a bachelor's degree in geology from Universite Laval.

Management commentary

"As we move into active exploration, the most valuable thing we can add is experienced judgment on the ground in Quebec. Simon brings that. He knows the La Grande subprovince, he has designed and supervised programs of this kind before, and he will be involved in the geological interpretation and target selection that shape where we drill," said Ms. Nguyen, president and chief executive officer of Lux Metals.

Advisory role and compensation

Mr. Hebert will serve as a technical adviser to management, and will not be an officer or director of the company. Mr. Hebert is entitled to receive stock options as compensation in accordance with the company's equity incentive plan and subject to the board of directors' approval.

Incentive grants

The company announces that a total of 1.4 million incentive stock options and 350,000 deferred share units have been granted to the newly appointed CEO and adviser and to directors and officers of the company pursuant to the company's long-term incentive plan. The options are exercisable for a period of five years at a price of 20 cents per share and shall vest immediately.
