Vector Science starts peptide production at LyoGenesis

2026-08-24 16:51 ET - News Release

Mr. Bill Jackson reports

VECTOR SCIENCE & THERAPEUTICS (TSXV: PAIN) BEGINS PEPTIDE PRODUCTION AS FIRST SUITE AT LyoGenesis MANUFACTURING comES ONLINE

The first of four planned manufacturing suites at Vector Science & Therapeutics Corp.'s LyoGenesis Manufacturing facility is now producing pharma-grade peptides, putting the company on track to begin fulfilling Vector's existing customer orders for nine peptides this month.

Outside of the GLP-1s, Vector will focus production on top-selling peptides and complementary compounds such as Sermorelin, BPC-157, NAD, TB-500, PT-141, KPV, Semax, Epitalon and MOTS-c to meet growing demand for peptides in the United States. After accounting for LyoGenesis Manufacturing's production costs, Vector expects to retain a margin of approximately 80 per cent on each sale, reflecting the premium that pharma-grade peptides command over lower-cost, research-grade material that lacks comparable manufacturing, quality and regulatory rigour.

The milestone follows an extensive qualification process required to bring each suite into full cGMP (current good manufacturing practice), FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and ISO compliance, including:

  • Successful completion of process validation batches confirming consistent yield, purity and potency;
  • Calibration and qualification of all manufacturing equipment;
  • Validation of air quality and air pressure in each Class 5 cleanroom;
  • Development and validation of cleaning protocols for every room and piece of equipment;
  • Process-control SOPs governing cleanroom access and equipment operation;
  • Development of production, raw-material and finished-product specifications;
  • Completion of staff training on all qualified equipment and procedures.

"We projected we would begin producing revenue from the Mequon facility, and we met our timeline because of the effort our entire team put in," said Tommy Thompson, chairman of Vector Science & Therapeutics. "This is a significant milestone that allows us to begin to meet the commitments we've made to our customers."

"Every suite goes through the same rigorous qualification process before it can produce a single vial," said Bill Jackson, chief executive officer of Vector Science & Therapeutics. "That discipline is what allows us to stand behind the quality of what leaves this facility, and it's what our partners and their patients are counting on."

Scaling through September

The first suite is currently capable of producing approximately 55,000 vials per month, which has been presold. The three remaining LyoGenesis Manufacturing suites are expected to come on line in the latter half of September, 2026, each with a substantially larger production profile than the first suite, together giving the company combined capacity to produce up to 800,000 vials of peptides per month. As additional capacity comes on stream, the company expects to scale production to approximately 200,000 vials per month within the next three months. One major customer has signaled it expects to commit to purchasing 200,000 vials per month within three months.

Independent quality verification

All peptides produced at LyoGenesis Manufacturing undergo validated testing performed by Verlytix, LyoGenesis Manufacturing's related-company quality and analytical testing affiliate, confirming sterility, purity, potency, endotoxin levels and water content.
