ORIGINAL: DEEP SEA MINERALS CORP. TO ATTEND DIB ACCELERATOR 2026 IN PHILADELPHIA

2026-08-24 07:30 ET - News Release

Vancouver, BC, Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Deep Sea Minerals Corp. (CSE: SEAS) (OTCQB: DSEAF) (FSE: X450) ("Deep Sea Minerals" or the "Company"), a subsea mineral exploration and development company focused on advancing critical mineral opportunities from the deep ocean, is pleased to announce that representatives of the Company will attend the Defense Industrial Base Accelerator 2026 ("DIB Accelerator 2026"), being held August 25–27, 2026, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

DIB Accelerator 2026 brings together leaders from across the U.S. defense industrial base, government, industry, technology and investment communities to address industrial capacity, supply-chain resilience, defense innovation and investment priorities. The event is expected to provide a forum for engagement around the capabilities, resources and technologies required to strengthen the United States' defense industrial base.

Deep Sea Minerals' participation reflects the Company's continued focus on the growing strategic importance of secure and resilient supplies of critical minerals to the United States. Critical minerals, including copper, nickel, cobalt and manganese, are important inputs across advanced manufacturing, defense technologies, energy infrastructure and other strategic industries.

“Strengthening access to secure sources of critical minerals is increasingly intertwined with U.S. industrial capacity and national security. DIB Accelerator brings together government, industry, technology, and capital around the challenge of strengthening the American defense industrial base, and we believe critical mineral supply chains are an important part of that discussion,” said James Deckelman, Chief Executive Officer of Deep Sea Minerals Corp. “We look forward to engaging with stakeholders in Philadelphia and discussing the potential role that responsibly developed deep sea mineral resources may play in supporting more secure and resilient U.S. critical mineral supply chains.”

The Company’s attendance at DIB Accelerator 2026 forms part of its broader engagement with U.S. government, industry, and strategic stakeholders as it advances its U.S.-focused deep sea mineral strategy.

ABOUT DEEP SEA MINERALS CORP.

Deep Sea Minerals Corp. is a subsea mineral exploration and development company focused on evaluating opportunities to support the future supply of critical minerals through the acquisition, exploration, and development of deep-sea mineral assets.

The Company’s strategy is centered on identifying jurisdictions and geological settings with potential exposure to polymetallic nodule systems, which are recognized for containing combinations of metals that may be relevant to defense, industrial manufacturing, clean energy infrastructure, advanced electronics, and artificial intelligence-related supply chains. These seabed resources represent a largely undeveloped component of the global mineral supply base and are the subject of increasing policy, scientific, and regulatory attention worldwide.

As part of this process, the Company has commenced early-stage engagement with selected governments and regulatory bodies in the Pacific Ocean region to assess potential pathways for future exploration initiatives, subject to applicable international, national, and environmental frameworks.
