Mr. Todd Shapiro reports
RED LIGHT HOLLAND'S WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY, FILAMENT HEALTH, SIGNS AGREEMENT TO SUPPLY PEX010 BOTANICAL PSILOCYBIN DRUG CANDIDATE FOR MILITARY VETERANS PTSD STUDY AT ARQ NATIONAL PSYCHOTRAUMA CENTRE
Following Red Light Holland Corp.'s acquisition of Filament Health Corp., the company has expanded its pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing, regulatory and clinical research capabilities, supporting the advancement of naturally derived psilocybin development and Filament's patented botanical drug candidate, PEX010.
The company is pleased to announce that Filament has signed an agreement with ARQ National Psychotrauma Centre (ARQ), a leading mental health care institute in the Netherlands focused on the treatment of psychotrauma related disorders, to supply PEX010 in support of an academic clinical study, titled "Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in Military Veterans: A Pilot Feasibility Study."
The study is a pilot feasibility study examining psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy in military veterans living with posttraumatic stress disorder. PEX010 will be supplied as the investigational drug product for the study. Research of this kind, conducted within a highly specialized psychotrauma treatment setting, supports a patient population for whom existing treatments often fall short and reflects a long-standing clinical commitment to those affected by trauma sustained in service.
PEX010 has now been supplied to more than 80 academic and clinical studies worldwide, making it the natural psilocybin drug candidate of choice for leading research institutions and one of the most widely studied botanical psilocybin drug candidates in regulated clinical research.
"Veteran suicide is something that breaks my heart. These are people who give so much to protect their countries and protect our freedoms, and helping veterans has always been a personal priority for me," said Todd Shapiro, chief executive officer and director of Red Light Holland. "Being able to support this study with a reliable supply of PEX010 is something we are very proud of, and I am hopeful that it can lead to wider opportunities to increase access to PEX010 for veterans and the clinicians working to give them new and effective options."
