Taranis Begins Drilling at Borr Zone
Estes Park, Colorado, September 15, 2026 - Taranis Resources Inc. ("Taranis" or the "Company") [TSX.V: TRO, OTCQB: TNREF] is pleased to report the commencement of drilling in the newly discovered Borr Zone, located 1.3 km southeast of the southernmost "Broadview Zone" of the Thor deposit.
The Company completed a multi-frequency Very Low Frequency ("VLF") and magnetic survey over the main target area, identifying several geophysical anomalies that appear to be related to the Zone's initial discovery hole (Thor-256). A conductive target strikes parallel to the main Thor deposit and occurs within 20m of the main access road to Thor. Immediately south of the discovery hole is a magnetic-low that is enigmatic.
Discussion
The Borr Zone is a virgin discovery with notable mineralogical similarities to the Thor NI 43-101 Mineral Resource. Intercepts from the Borr zone also highlight certain geological differences to Thor that are being carefully investigated, as they may in fact be clues related to links to the plumbing system responsible for the Mineral Resources defined by Taranis at the Thor.
Importantly, the Borr zone was found to be over 1,300 meters from the main NI 43-101 Mineral Resource area. Geologically and spatially, Borr appears to be the down-dip extension of the main Thor deposit. In this interpretation, the original (once contiguous) Thor deposit has been cleaved in half by a post mineral lamprophyre dyke. Successful exploration of this Borr Zone is critical to the expansion of Taranis' existing NI 43-101 Mineral Resource.
The initial test holes in this area are designed to define the strike, dip, and continuity of the Borr Zone. Tests of the geometry of the Borr Zone are the crucial first step prior to consideration of definition drilling. Virtually all of Taranis' capital is allocated to drilling targets that have been thoroughly evaluated for continuity and grade-tonneage potential. In this way, mineralization that has the potential to become a Mineral Resource is prioritized over individual showings or discrete intercepts. Taranis believes that such economies with capital make its exploration programs the most successful dollar-for-dollar anywhere in Southeast British Columbia.
The presence of a thin, but persistent layer of rockslide material over the steep hillside means that there is only minimal outcrop, and therefore, the only way of understanding the Borr Zone is through the use of shallow diamond drill holes. The presence of the thin layer of rockslide material has completely concealed the zone - despite over 100 years of access to the main Thor deposit using the adjacent access road.
Qualified Person
Exploration activities at Thor were overseen by John Gardiner (P. Geo.), who is a Qualified Person under
the meaning of Canadian National Instrument 43-101. John Gardiner is the principal of John J. Gardiner &
Associates, LLC which operates in British Columbia under Firm Permit Number 1002256. Mr. Gardiner is the President and CEO of Taranis Resources inc. and has reviewed and approved the comments contained within this News Release.
About Taranis Resources Inc.
Taranis Resources (TSX.V: TRO | OTCQB: TNREF) has evolved beyond the profile of a traditional junior explorer. After 15 years of methodical exploration and compiling a massive database from over 250 drill holes to define a 43-101 Mineral Resource at Thor - and recently completing a 100% consolidation of the historic Silver Cup Mining District - the company is transitioning from "understanding the Thor deposit" to "unlocking district-scale" discovery potential.
Taranis' core values include scientific rigor, highlighting exploration driven by state of art predictive targeting, 3-D geophysical inversions, and carefully controlled use of AI, as opposed to traditional surface-level prospecting. The Company prioritizes methodological, high-quality exploration over promotional shortcuts, and allocates funds "into the ground". Taranis' leadership has unmatched shareholder alignment, and our Management Team has been intact for 20 years with substantial insider ownership. Taranis exercises responsible stewardship and is committed to defining legitimate ownership through active labour, stringent reclamation programs, and transparent First Nations and local community engagement.
Taranis currently has 105,620,693 shares issued and outstanding (122,608,613 shares on a fully-diluted basis).
