TALISKER INITIATES MILLING AT NICOLA'S CRAIGMONT MILL
Talisker Resources Ltd. has commenced milling and processing of run-of-mine material from Talisker's Mustang mine at Nicola Mining Inc.'s Craigmont mill, located in Merritt, B.C. Nicola successfully completed the installation of the gravity circuit as planned in June and following comprehensive process testing commenced milling Talisker's material late last week.
To date, a total of 3,100 tonnes of material has been transported from Mustang to Craigmont for processing. Talisker continues to develop on the 1060, 1075, 1105 and 1120 levels with in-vein development active on the BK vein on the 1075 level and both the BK and BK9870 veins on the 1105 level. Long-hole drilling in preparation for the mining and extraction of the first stope is under way targeting the 3264 stope from the Alhambra vein located between the 1060 and 1075 levels. Blasting and extraction of the first stope are expected to occur later this week.
Terry Harbort, chief executive officer of Talisker, stated: "We are excited to be processing our first run-of-mine material with our milling partner, Nicola, a major milestone for the company. In addition, the advance of simultaneous development on the Alhambra, BK and BK9870 veins provides Talisker various working fronts on multiple levels. We eagerly look forward to the blasting of our first production stope this week."
