The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was a bright 96-66-148 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell fractionally to 613. Ian Harris's Libero Copper & Gold Corp. (LBC) fell one cent to 21 cents on 166,000 shares. The company says that its third drill hole of a 14,000-metre program on the Mocoa porphyry project in Colombia is under way. This is a resource expansion program the company says. The new hole is designed to add to the results of three previous holes -- the first two completed in this new program and one completed three years ago.

That 2022 hole intersected a 1,228-metre interval starting just below surface. It returned 0.42 per cent copper and 0.047 per cent molybdenum, with the upper 595 metres managing 0.53 per cent copper and 0.072 per cent molybdenum. At the time, Mr. Harris, president and chief executive officer, gushed about the "exceptional grade, thickness and strength" of the mineralizing system, adding that he and his crew were planning to "systematically unlock the potential" of the Mocoa deposit and its surroundings "by working closely with the community and all levels of government to build a future that will be mutually beneficial for sustainable growth for all stakeholders."
