The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a mediocre 62-86-162 as the TSX Venture Exchange lost one point to 875. Vincent Metcalfe's Comet Lithium Corp. (CLIC) fell 3.5 cents to 22 cents on 91,000 shares on word that it has begun its fall phase II exploration program on the Elmer East lithium-cesium property in the James Bay district of Quebec.
The new effort at Elmer East, a targeted follow-up program near a recent discovery, Comet cheers, will span several days and have three field teams complete detailed prospecting, structural mapping, traverses, sampling and channel work in and around the new pegmatite occurrence. The priority zones to be tested "represent areas most prospective for additional cesium-lithium mineralization," Comet says. The company has outlined several high-potential corridors, and the new work will attempt to extend the known mineralization along strike, testing any new outcrops or subcrops found.
