The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Tuesday was a positive 88-73-149 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell nine points to 912. Leni Keough's Olivut Resources Ltd. (OLV) lost one-half cent to four cents on 3,000 shares today and Dr. Ray Davies's Talmora Diamond Inc. (TAI), its co-venturer at the Seahorse diamond project, north of Great Bear Lake in the Northwest Territories, lost one-half cent to 1.5 cents on 3,000 shares on Monday. The two companies still talk a great story about Seahorse, but winter is closing in on the project without any progress this year.

Dr. Davies founded Talmora to chase Great Bear diamonds 20 years ago, but he has been bemoaning the sad state of the sector for most of those years. After several years of touting a multimillion-dollar drill plan but raising barely enough to send a man and a portable packsack drill to the site -- and then only once -- Talmora enticed Olivut to join it in 2018. Olivut completed a $1.2-million earn-in requirement, and each company now owns a 50-per-cent interest, but nowadays Olivut is as unsuccessful as Talmora at raising cash.
