The critical and specialty minerals box score for Tuesday was a ho-hum 92-89-129 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose six points to 1,098. Homeland Nickel Inc. (SHL) was a busy trader today despite being silent for three weeks, as it added 2.5 cents to 23 cents on 6.64 million shares. "America's source for domestic nickel," gushes the Canadian-based company's website, with Homeland Nickel touting several Oregon projects as its collective focus.

David Greenway's Vanguard Mining Corp. (UUU) leapt four cents to 20 cents on 11.39 million shares Monday. The move followed word that the company has completed its fall drill program at Redonda to a depth of 511 metres. This is apparently one hole -- Vanguard is very vague about the program, although at one point it waffled that it was "currently permitted for up to 10 drill sites" and was "evaluating an aggressive 2025 program" that was to include detailed geological mapping of brecciation trends and deeper drilling below 500 metres within the known potassic core.
