The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was a bountiful 134-61-115 as the TSX Venture
Exchange added a whopping 39 points to 1,134. Ucore Rare Metals Inc. (UCU) was silent but a market mover today, gaining $1.13 to $9.85 on 2.06 million shares. The graphite promotion last had news a week ago, cheerleading moves by President Trump, aimed at reducing reliance on foreign critical minerals and indirectly making Howe Street great again.
Alex Klenman's Azincourt Energy Corp. (AAZ) jumped three cents to eight cents on 12.23 million shares Wednesday on word of high-grade uranium samples from its Harrier project in Labrador. The headline sample, from outcrop at the Brook showing, assayed 6.28 per cent uranium oxide, while a boulder found in the Moran Heights area managed 2.27 per cent. As well, boulders from the Minisinakwa and Whiskey Jack areas topped 1 per cent uranium oxide. The company also oohed and aahed over assays from a 0.1-metre check sample of core drilled 18 years ago. That new look delivered a grade of 2.71 per cent uranium oxide.
