The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Friday was a cheery 106-67-137 as the TSX Venture Exchange added 15 points to 988. Guy Bourassa's noisy scandium promotion, Scandium Canada Ltd. (SCD), rose one-half cent to 21 cents on 2.22 million shares. The company has closed the $5-million placement it launched just two weeks ago, selling 25 million charity flow-through shares at 20 cents apiece. Just hours later, Scandium Canada said that one of its scandium aluminum-scandium alloys is being integrated as 0.4-millimetre-thick sheets placed inside "every ski" in the 2026-2027 collection of Ferreol Skis.
The additional $5-million, says Mr. Bourassa, chief executive officer, "will allow the continuity of the [continuing] drilling campaign," which, he cheers, is aiming at confirming lateral extensions of the TG deposit on the Crater Lake project. The cash will allow the company to have the drilling equipment and team at the site, Mr. Bourassa blathers -- it being impossible to do any drilling if they were not -- adding that this will lower costs and, "more importantly, reflect the upcoming results in an updated mineral resource estimate."
