The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score was a workable 88-86-136 on Wednesday despite the TSX Venture Exchange falling eight points to 1,003. Mark Ferguson's Arbor Metals Corp. (ABR) lost two cents to 10 cents on 2.38 million shares. Arbor has been silent since it planned a new phase of exploration at its Kemlee Lake lithium project in Northwestern Ontario three weeks ago. It has also been a thin trader, with today's volume the highest since mid-May.

Edgar Lee and Rahim Suleman's Neo Performance Materials Inc. (NEO) fell 79 cents to $32.88 on 421,000 shares. The company applauds an independent initial assessment of its Sarfartoq rare earth elements project in southwestern Greenland, a well-travelled project that it touts as a "carbonatite-hosted, neodymium-praseodymium-rich rare earth deposit."

Sarfartoq is largely owned by Greenland Mines Ltd., although following the trail from the days when it was the pride and joy of Jamie Tuer and his Hudson Resources Inc. is best accomplished with by a gaggle of accountants and lawyers with a pack of bloodhounds in tow. Essentially, Hudson morphed into Anortech Inc. (ANOR), which sold the project for $3.5-million (U.S.) to Neo Performance Materials three years ago, while keeping a 5-per-cent carried interest.
