The critical and specialty minerals box score for Tuesday was a terrible 45-125-140 as the TSX Venture Exchange slid 26 points to 957. Paul Sobie and Tasheel Jeerh's Churchill Resources Inc. (CRI) lost one-half cent to 5.5 cents on 263,000 shares. The company has the final assays from spring drilling on the Black Raven project in central Newfoundland. The headline hit, from Frost Cove North, returned 19.23 per cent antimony and 0.73 gram of gold per tonne across 1.4 metres, with most of the juice sitting within a 0.47-metre zone that ran 56.2 per cent antimony.
The spring program saw 23 holes completed, spanning 4,267 metres. Fourteen of the holes were drilled in an attempt to expand the Pomley Cove Pond prospect, while the nine others were designed to delineate Frost Cove North. As well, the drilling encountered a new zone -- a 6.22-metre hit that ran 0.78 per cent copper, along with 61.2 grams of silver and 0.23 gram of gold per tonne.
