The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score was an unenthused 63-89-168 on Wednesday as the TSX Venture Exchange added two points to 848. Sean Whiteford's Nexmetals Mining Corp. (NEXM) added nine cents to $2.17 on 82,000 shares. The company has significantly increased its resource estimate for Selebi, its nickel, copper and cobalt project in Botswana, thanks to a big increase at Selebi North.

The company lists 8.95 million tonnes indicated -- all of them at Selebi North -- grading 1.08 per cent nickel, 1.03 per cent copper and 0.06 per cent cobalt. There are also 41.95 million tonnes inferred at Selebi Main and Selebi North, grading 1.01 per cent nickel, 1.45 per cent copper and 0.05 per cent cobalt, a total of 1.55 million pounds of copper, 1.15 million pounds of nickel and 59 million pounds of cobalt.

Mr. Whiteford, chief executive officer, pleased as punch with the increase and noting that both Selebi deposits remain open, cheers that he and his crew "believe Selebi has the potential to become a world-class copper-nickel sulphide project." The resource growth, he glowed, "has exceeded our expectations and demonstrates the value of our investment in drilling and metallurgical work" over the past two years.
