The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score was a so-so 85-83-152 on Wednesday as the TSX Venture Exchange rose fractionally to 848. Tom Obradovich's Conquest Resources Ltd. (CQR) had its highest volume Tuesday since early in the Biden administration -- back to a time when it was easy to find a Canadian willing to admit he voted for Justin Trudeau. Unfortunately, Conquest, last heard from in August, shed 1.5 cents on 5.74 million shares, closing at 3.5 cents. The stock traded another 2.2 million shares in the opening seconds today, then crickets, closing unchanged at 3.5 cents on 2.27 million shares.
Ian Harris's Copper Giant Resources Corp. (CGNT), up four cents to $1 on 1.84 million shares, has drilled a 903-metre surface-based interval grading 0.41 per cent copper and 0.041 per cent molybdenum at its Mocoa project in Colombia. The long hit included a 135-metre midsection with 1.02 per cent copper and 0.107 per cent molybdenum, while further slicing and dicing boosted the grades to 1.36 per cent copper and 0.164 per cent molybdenum over 52 metres.
