The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Monday was a positive 97-83-140 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell three points to 801. Copper Giant Resources Corp. (CGNT) -- a massive system, built on responsibility, guided by experience bellows its website -- had another good day on the market, adding seven cents to 94 cents on 2.06 million shares. The company is busy drilling its Mocoa copper and molybdenum project in Colombia and has been generating a steady stream of promotable assays. Last week, a 135-metre midsection within a 903-metre surface-based zone graded 1.02 per cent copper and 0.107 per cent molybdenum.

Martin Kepman's Manganese X Energy Corp. (MN) rose one-quarter cent to 8.25 cents on 85,000 shares. The company has a research agreement with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and Chris Doornbos's E3 Lithium Ltd. (ETL), NiVolt Technologies Inc. and POSCO America Corp. involving the development and demonstration of lithium-manganese-rich cathode materials. Manganese X's role is to provide a 10-kilogram sample of high-purity manganese sourced from its Battery Hill deposit in New Brunswick for research and testing.
