The critical and specialty minerals box score for Tuesday was a bleak 64-88-168 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell six points to 795. Alex Tsakumis's American Lithium Corp. (LI), up one-half cent to 32.5 cents on 115,000 shares, has updated its resource estimate for the Macusani uranium project in southeastern Peru. It now lists 121.9 million tonnes measured and indicated at 213 parts per million of uranium oxide and 114.9 million tonnes inferred at 258 ppm, a total of 122.5 million pounds of uranium oxide sitting in 11 deposits spanning five complexes on the project.
The updated Macusani estimate represents another important step forward for the project, enthused Mr. Tsakumis, chief executive officer, adding that it "reinforces our confidence in its long-term potential." With more than 40 undrilled uranium surface occurrences across the project, he and his crew "see significant opportunity for Macusani to grow, particularly with the dedicated focus it deserves."
