New York spot gold regained $24.70 to $2,325.90 on Monday. The TSX Venture Exchange rose 8.4 points to 590.1 while the TSX gold index gained 5.64 points to 316.73. First Majestic Silver Corp. (FR) did well, adding 55 cents to $9.72 on 1.95 million shares today without aid of news. Equally silent and northbound was Endeavour Silver Corp. (EDR), which gained 30 cents to $3.91 on 1.6 million shares. On the other hand, Elevation Gold Mining Corp. (ELVT) lost two cents to 10 cents on 262,000 shares.
And now for the news: John Lewins's K92 Mining Inc. (KNT) rose 36 cents to $7.66 on 796,000 shares on word it has drilled a 78.5-metre interval averaging 24.94 grams of gold and 116 grams of silver per tonne plus 0.38 per cent copper at Kora South on its Kainantu project in Papua New Guinea. The hit came from one of 140 new holes drilled on the property, tests spread across the Kora, Kora South, Judd and Judd South deposits.
