Paul Matysek and Collin Kettell's Nevada King Gold Corp. (NKG) rose one cent to 32 cents on 959,000 shares on word it has drilled a 54.9-metre interval grading 6.28 grams of gold and 17.9 grams of silver per tonne at its Atlanta project in southeastern Nevada. The angled hole, which hit the gold at depth in "strongly altered intrusive rock" immediately below a barren cap, displayed a "remarkably consistent grade," the company cheered, noting that the extension of high-grade oxide mineralization "strongly enhances potential for extending the Atlanta resource into the ... extensive South Quartzite Ridge target."
