Canadian gold miners took it on the chin today -- except for Dynacor Group Inc. (DNG), which added nine cents to $5.75 on 106,000 shares. Silver X Mining Corp. (AGX), which picked a bad time to offer new stock at a discount, led the retreat. It fell four cents to 29 cents on 2.88 million shares today.
Collin Kettell and Denis Laviolette's New Found Gold Corp. (NFG) lost seven cents to $3.10 on 553,000 shares on word of another bonanza-grade discovery at its Queensway project in north-central Newfoundland. The latest find, dubbed Golden Dome, lies at depth just south of the Dome occurrence and just north of Golden Joint. This places it within the area that has generated most of the three-digit grades, which stretches from Keats in the southwest to Lotto in the northeast.
