New York spot gold fell $6.10 to close at $2,646.30 on Tuesday while the TSX Venture Exchange lost four points to 597.25 and the TSX gold index dropped 1.41 points to 352.17. Most gold miners with Canadian listings tracked lower with bullion today. Iamgold Corp. (IMG) fell early but ended the day up two cents to $7.60 on 3.23 million shares without supporting news. Mandalay Resources Corp. (MND) was down all day, falling 46 cents to $4.30 on 205,000 shares on lower-than-expected guidance for 2025. Aura Minerals Inc. (ORA) bucked the trend all day, adding 67 cents to $18.09 on 33,000 shares, also in silence.
Edward Gosselin's Kobo Resources Inc. (KRI) closed unchanged at 32 cents on 1,000 shares following word that it has extended the Jagger zone at its Kossou project in Ivory Coast. The expansion -- 150 metres northward -- comes through assays from three new holes.
