New York spot gold fell $7.20 to $2,911.50 on Thursday. The TSX Venture Exchange lost 2.51 points to 605.24 while the TSX gold index dropped 6.02 points to 408.13. Serabi Gold PLC (SBI), which had a good run recently, lost more ground today following yesterday's 20-cent decline, dropping another 21 cents to $2.72 on 54,000 shares. GoGold Resources Inc. (GGD) moved higher, adding five cents to $1.71 on 2.22 million shares, and K92 Mining Inc. (KNT) kept it company, advancing four cents to $10 on 986,000 shares today.
Ian Cockerill's Endeavour Mining PLC (EDV) rose 16 cents to $30.82 on 1.7 million shares on word of its "strong" financial performance last year. Endeavour produced 1.1 million ounces of gold during 2024 and sold nearly as much -- although not much more than it mined and sold in 2023. Its revenues grew, however, thanks to an average gold price of $2,349 (U.S.) per ounce in 2024, compared with just $1,919 (U.S.) a year earlier. And so, the company's operating cash flow reached $3.88 (U.S.) per share, up handily from $2.51 (U.S.) per share a year earlier.
