Shane Williams's West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG) jumped 10 cents to 85 cents on 11 million shares on word it has drilled more high-grade gold over a significant width. Today's headline hit from the South Austin area of its Madsen gold mine, near Red Lake in Northwestern Ontario, produced nearly 49 grams of gold per tonne across 18.7 metres. A second hit in the area managed 25.49 grams per tonne across 7.5 metres. The hits came from a 25-hole underground drilling program this year that probed South Austin, and all of the tests managed gold intercepts topping three grams per tonne.
