New York spot gold rose $5.20 Tuesday, pausing ever so briefly in the afternoon at $3,346.90. The TSX Venture Exchange fell 4.64 points to 788.60 while the TSX gold index added 3.73 points to 569.34. Barrick Mining Corp. (ABX) had a good day, adding 93 cents to $32.39 on 7.9 million shares and reversing Monday's 76-cent decline.
