New York spot gold fell again Thursday, dropping $15.90 to take its pause at $3,642.90. The TSX Venture Exchange rose 4.38 points to 879.51 while the TSX gold index gained 2.62 points to 662.35. Today's moves were varied by the end of the day. Jaguar Mining Inc. (JAG) lost four cents to $5.44 on 337,000 shares and Orosur Mining Inc. (OMI), a 52-center on Monday, fell another 4.5 cents to 36 cents on 5.66 million shares today. Dundee Precious Metals Inc. (DPM), on the other hand, added 85 cents to $30.19 on 2.05 million shares.
Corwin Coe and Donald Penner's Sitka Gold Corp. (SIG) leapt 15.5 cents to 96 cents on 5.69 million shares on new assays from its Rhosgobel discovery, at RC in central Yukon. As well, the company has added a tungsten kicker to Rhosgobel, after it sent core from an earlier hole off to be tested for that metal: A 75.5-metre zone averaged 0.132 per cent tungsten oxide in one intercept, 0.388 per cent across nearly seven metres in a second and a hefty 4.74 per cent in a third -- but over just 0.61 metre.
