New York spot gold jumped $80.70 Thursday, taking a break at $4,343.70. The TSX Venture Exchange jumped 23.51 points to 919.61, while the TSX gold index added 31.34 points to 957.08. Having trotted close to a regulatory no-go zone, the company then tiptoed to the brink, cheering that "on a gram-metre basis these intercepts are comparable with some of the best silver intercepts drilled anywhere in Mexico over the past year" -- but leaving the calculating to investors. (The regulators frown upon touting gram-metre calculations in which grades are multiplied by intercept lengths.)
