New York spot gold fell $10.70 by Monday afternoon, pausing at $4,160.10. The TSX Venture Exchange slid 13.10 points to 860.93 while the TSX gold index lost 20.97 points to 880.39. Most precious metals miners moved lower today. A few bucked the trend, including Endeavour Mining PLC (EDV), which added 60 cents to $77.95 on 1.02 million shares, but the other Endeavour, Endeavour Silver Corp. (EDR), fell 61 cents to $11.73 on 1.94 million shares. Silvercorp Metals Inc. (SVM) kept it company, dropping 66 cents to $14.27 on 765,000 shares.

Anthea Bath's Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. (WDO) rolled out its third quarter production results today, and Ms. Bath, president and chief executive officer, conceded that they were "modestly below our expectations." Those expectations were considerably below the market's desire, as Wesdome slid $3.11 to $31.40 on 2.38 million shares on the news. The company produced just over 41,000 ounces of gold in the quarter, compared with over 50,000 ounces a year earlier, putting it about 9,000 ounces behind its 2025 pace.
