Justin Plaizier, a citizen of the Netherlands charged for his part in Frank Biller's Colombian boiler room, has avoided jail. A federal judge in New York has imposed a sentence of supervised release on Mr. Plaizier, who described himself as a "two-bit player in the conspiracy." He previously pleaded guilty and told the court that he had "lost his way and was wrong."

The sentence for Mr. Plaizier is contained in a judgment handed down in New York on Sept. 4, 2025. The judge ordered Mr. Plaizier to serve three years of supervised release and ordered him to pay $684,493 in restitution. (All figures are in U.S. dollars.) The judge also signed an order of judicial removal, which clears Mr. Plaizier for immediate deportation to his country of birth. Although Mr. Plaizier has been living in Colombia for many years, he is a citizen of the Netherlands.

The sentence for Mr. Plaizier comes with his Vancouver co-accused, Mr. Biller, still awaiting his date with the judge. Prosecutors claim that Mr. Biller, who used the aliases "Frank Johnson" and "Dr. Peter Phillips," helped hidden insiders unload millions of shares on the market. The boiler room generated illegal gains that the government calculated to be $58.3-million. Mr. Biller pleaded guilty and had been scheduled to receive his sentence on April 14, 2025, but the date has since been put off for reasons that are not public.

Does the BCSC have any teeth to collect the o/s fines? Seems silly to fine people knowing, you can't collect. What a waste of time and money.

BC Judges disrespect BC Securities Commission orders because they are not ex-Judges, and the decision can be registered in BC Court but it carries the same weight as a foreign judgment. Some BC judges are just Masters, some gay fukwad appointed by his ballicked friend to sit for Judges- they know fuk all about law, but will if you buy them a burger, give you a wink decision in BC Court.

But BC Securities decisions are made by some farmer, or parole officer, who may be a coke sniffer or adulter, and the Judges know, the real Judges.
