Former Odlum Brown Ltd. executive Warren Beach has filed a wrongful dismissal lawsuit against the firm in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, complaining that he was fired from his $1.4-million-per-year job for no good reason. Mr. Beach does not say what the circumstances of his firing were, but he does say that Odlum Brown sent out a notification to other employees that damaged his reputation. He has since been unable to find a new job, he complains.

The allegations are contained in a notice of claim that Mr. Beach filed at the Vancouver courthouse on Feb. 4, 2026. The lawsuit identifies Mr. Beach, 59, as an employee of Odlum Brown since March 14, 2022. He held the position of chief strategy and business development officer, responsible for "developing and executing the Defendant's enterprise-wide strategy, business development and innovation agenda."

According to the suit, Odlum Brown fired Mr. Beach on Nov. 14, 2025, "without cause and without notice," which was a breach of his employment contract. Mr. Beach says that he has since been searching for a comparable job with no success. He blames his lack of success in part on the "high level of compensation" he received at Odlum Brown, saying that few employers will be prepared to offer him something similar.
