The critical and specialty minerals box score for Tuesday was a bleak 54-125-141 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell 13 points to 861. Alex Wylie's Libertystream Infrastructure Partners Inc. (LIB) slid 12 cents to 75 cents on 4.29 million shares following the company's I've-got-a-secret-but-I'm-not-telling news. Libertystream is delaying its annual meeting by about six weeks, to late November, so that shareholders can "consider ... [business] updates" that the company has not yet made public. That news, apparently, will be coming in the next few weeks from the Dallas-based, TSX-V-listed company touting "American mineral independence."

Slam Exploration Ltd. (SXL), up one-half cent to seven cents on 3,000 shares, is going through the change. When the company went public in 2000, Michael Taylor had already been in its corner office for four years, so he is now retiring as president and chief executive officer in a "planned leadership transition" that has Jimmy Gravel replacing him effective immediately. (Mr. Taylor may be gone, but he will not be forgotten -- at least he better not be forgotten by Mr. Gravel and his crew -- as has moved into one of Howe Street's cozy retirement homes -- chairman of the board.)
