Scott Berdahl's Snowline Gold Corp. (SGD) lost 46 cents to $16.72 on 862,000 shares on word it has sold 11.9 million shares at $14.50 apiece, stuffing $172.5-million into its coffers. The company had been seeking $150-million -- the extra cash came from the underwriters putting their greenshoe option to work. The bulk of the cash will go to the company's gold projects in east-central Yukon -- mainly the Valley deposit on the Rogue project -- although Einarson, just to the north, and Ursa, Olympus and Cynthia to the south, are likely to see work as well.
